Chuck has more than 30 years of experience creating value through entrepreneurship, large corporate executive management, and private equity investments and transactions. He is currently Founder and Managing Partner of Auster Capital Partners (ACP).

Before establishing ACP, Chuck was a Partner and Managing Director at One Equity Partners (OEP), the private equity arm of JPMorgan Chase. OEP manages $8 billion of investments and commitments for direct investments in corporate transactions and leveraged buyouts. Among other transactions, Chuck led the deal team in the acquisition of Polaroid Corporation by OEP and served as Chairman of the Board of Polaroid.

Prior to joining OEP, Chuck was President and Chief Executive Officer and a Member of the Board of Directors of Infocrossing, Inc. (NASDAQ:IFOX), a premier provider of a full range of IT outsourcing services, including mainframe and open systems as well as complex hosting and managed services.

Chuck was a Founder, and formerly the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and a Member of the Board of Directors of IXnet, Ltd. (NASDAQ), a network provider of communication services offering an international voice, data and IP extranet for the financial services community. He was in a leadership role as part of the senior team that negotiated the sale of IPC and IXnet to Global Crossing in a stock-for-stock exchange valued in excess of $3.8 billion.

Chuck earlier served as Executive Vice President and on the Board of Directors of Washington-based AmeriTrade, Inc., an international trade and investment banking firm that helps U.S. firms structure, finance and manage overseas transactions. Chuck's primary work included projects with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, The U.S. Export Import Bank, The Overseas Private Investment Corporation, and The International Finance Corporation of the World Bank.

As a Founding Partner in Andes Equity Partners, Ltd., Chuck aided in the conception and sponsorship of the South American Private Equity Growth Fund, LP, a $180 million Overseas Private Investment Corporation guaranteed direct investment fund for Latin America.

Chuck sits on the board of a number of companies and is currently Chairman of the Board of Global Packaging Corporation N.V. He is Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Entrepreneurial Leadership Center of Tufts University, and Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Trustees of L'Enfant Trust, Washington, D.C., a 501(c)(3) historic preservation organization that he co-founded.

Chuck graduated from Tufts University with Highest Honors in Economics and holds a Juris Doctor with Honors from the National Law Center, George Washington University. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the Virginia State Bar.

Matt joined the firm in February 2011. During his time at ACP Matt has led and executed a variety of debt and equity transactions for companies such as Assure Space LLC and Mobile Embrace Ltd. (MBE.ASX). In addition to his day-to-day role at ACP, Matt is also an active board member of Wicoms Ltd.

Matt has advised on numerous mergers and acquisitions, and capital raise across a number of industries, including the consumer products, technology, retail and industrial sectors. Representative experience includes:

• Was part of the deal team which was the Lead Underwriter for Kinder Morgan Energy Partner’s (NYSE: KMP) $13.5 billion management buyout in 2006, the largest in history.
• Served as lead financial advisor in raising and effectuating a $40 million Second Lien Term Loan for Lifetime Brands, Inc. (Nasdaq: LCUT), a designer and distributor of household cutlery, kitchen tools, gadgets, and other houseware products.
• Represented the Senior Secured Lenders in the successful out-of-court financial restructuring of Coastal Concrete II LLC, a South Carolina-based manufacturer of ready-made concrete for the residential and commercial markets.

Prior to joining ACP, Matt was an Associate with Carl Marks Advisory Group, an 85+ year old investment advisory and management consulting firm, where he primarily focused on mergers & acquisitions, capital raises and financial restructurings, providing an array of execution services for various financial advisory assignments representing both creditors and debtors throughout the entire spectrum of the capital structure.

Prior to joining Carl Marks, Matt worked in Citigroup’s Leveraged Finance Group, where he spent nearly three years focusing on the structuring and execution of leveraged loans and high yield bonds for large cap corporations; including company’s such as Harrah's Entertainment, Inc., Laidlaw, Inc., Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, LP and Novelis, Inc.

Matt graduated from Colgate University and is a Registered Representative as certified by FINRA, holding both his Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
